ABOUT RAPIDAN HERITAGE SOCIETY
Discover the story of Rapidan Heritage Society, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the local history and heritage. We are committed to maintaining historical artifacts, organizing fundraising events, and curating engaging exhibits that reflect the essence of the Rapidan area.

The Rapidan Historical Society, Inc. was organized as a non-profit corporation on February 21, 2002. The Rapidan Heritage Society is a IRS Section 501 (c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.​

The organization first held meetings in the Rapidan Depot. In September of 2022, the St. Johns Lutheran church building was transferred to the Rapidan Heritage Society. Meetings and events are now held at that site.
RHS members have organized all the artifacts and renovated the building for its new purpose. The major renovations have been completed, with minor enhancements to be made going forward.
